The operator of the documentary channels History HD and History 2 HD is launching a new satellite distribution route. For these purposes, it uses the capacity on the Intelsat 10-02 satellite (1°W).

Both mentioned programs appeared on the frequency of 12.687 GHz with vertical polarization. This is a broadcast transponder that includes the free-to-air NASA UHD station and, until recently, another free-to-air 4K Heritage channel.

An interesting feature of the new distribution route of the two stations described is not only the HD broadcast but above all the present Czech audio track.

Channel History HD in the pan-European version it is available here with an optional audio track in English, Czech, Hungarian, Russian and Turkish. There are also optional DVB subtitles in Bulgarian, Danish, Estonian, Finnish, Greek, Croatian, Macedonian, Norwegian, Romanian, Slovenian, Serbian and Swedish.

Pan-European sister program History 2 HD in addition to Czech, it is available with English and Russian audio. Also present are DVB subtitles in Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, Swedish, Arabic, Bulgarian, Danish, Finnish, Croatian, Norwegian, Serbian and Swedish.

Both programs are encoded by the Conax system from the start. For the History HD station, the CAID is incorrectly set to “B001” (the History 2 HD program has the correct CAID set to 0B00).

technical parameters – History HD, History 2 HD:

• Intelsat 10-02 (1°W), frequency 12.687 GHz, pole V, SR 28800, FEC 3/5, DVB-S2/QPSK
