The top version of the second best-selling model of the American automaker has 460 horsepower, supersport dynamics and a price tag corresponding to much weaker competition.

The Tesla brand has established itself as the largest manufacturer of electric cars in the world. It defeats established competition from conventional car manufacturers mainly with efficiency, modern multimedia, high performance and prices that are hundreds of thousands lower not only on the Czech market.

Currently, the cheapest Tesla is the Model 3 Highland Standard Range, the price of which dropped to CZK 1,003,990 a few days ago. The opposite of the basic variant is the newly introduced Performance version with a pair of electric motors with outputs of 158 kW at the front and 303 kilowatts at the rear, which together add up to 338 kilowatts or 460 horsepower. The torque reaches 741 Nm.

Thanks to this, the electric four-wheeler accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds, which is 0.3 seconds faster than in the case of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, whose price starts at 1,799,990 CZK. At the same time, you will pay a significant 432,000 less for the Tesla Model 3 Performance, because it is worth it 1,367,990 crowns.

Compared to other versions of the Model 3, the Performance version differs with, for example, the rear diffuser and carbon fiber spoiler, which are also used in the interior, the Track Mode V3 function with a different powertrain setting, sports seats in the front, an adaptive Performance chassis, special forged wheels with a diameter of 20″ and better brakes.

Tesla has not yet released details regarding battery capacity. However, with 20-inch wheels, according to official data, the Model 3 Performance can travel up to 528 kilometers on a single charge, and the maximum speed stops at 262 km/h.

In addition to the aforementioned Ioniq 5 N, we can also consider the BMW i4 M50 with 400 kilowatts, whose price in the Czech Republic starts at CZK 1,908,400. For a similar amount, specifically for 1,352,000 crowns at BMW, you will get “only” the basic version of the eDrive35 with 210 kilowatts. In theory, we can also consider the Nio ET5 Touring, which we recently tested at Auto.cz, as a rival to Tesla. But even that will cost roughly 200,000 drachmas in the Czech Republic.
