In the Czech Republic, the British-Chinese MG, which is so popular, has introduced a new product that will not make our citizens very happy this time

The Morris Garages brand will come out with a hot new product at the Beijing Motor Show. Don’t expect the new generation of the popular MG ZS SUV, but the EXE181 concept aerodynamic one-seater hypersport. It looks like a virtual design for the video game Gran Turismo, but it is a real study.

The drag coefficient of this concept model is extremely low, its Cx value corresponds to 0.181, which is less than the production Volkswagen XL1 (0.189), but more than the Mercedes EQXX concept (0.17). On the other hand, there have been concept cars in history with even better values, for example the General Motors Precept (0.16) or the Fiat Turbina (0.14).

The name MG EXE181 was not chosen for nothing, but refers to the original British concept model of the same name, whose power was 304 hp and the maximum, thanks to the coefficient of air resistance of 0.12, is said to be a wild 409 km/h.

SAIC MG claims about the modern concept that, in addition to aerodynamics, it will also be a record holder in terms of speed. Allegedly, it needs 1.9 seconds to accelerate from zero to hundred, however, we have to remind you of Rimac Never’s record, which needed 1.81 seconds for this acceleration, or 1.82 seconds according to another measuring device.

And it is also necessary to mention the words of the visionary and dreamer Elon Musk, who claims that the new production Tesla Roadster can do it in a second. Of course, who believes that?

MG did not mention the top speed, but it is said to break the land speed record, so it will have to beat the SSC Tuatara supercar (508 km/h) and possibly the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut, which is set to do over 530 km/h.

The interior of the MG concept is then extremely tight, with a single seat in the middle and a steering wheel dashboard screen that suggests this wild hypersport should have four electric motors. Other specifications have not been disclosed by the manufacturer, but we expect a performance of more than a thousand horses.

And the chances of serial production? Probably zero, but works great as a great attention grabber!
