Latal: Thimble used to be unlucky. I’ll have a good ride home. Who will catch next?

How long will it take you to fall asleep?
“Most of all, I will have a good ride home. The roads are always crazy, but I’m going to have a good ride today.”

How do you perceive the situation in the fight for salvation now?
“I see the situation as Martinec was out the night before the match, he had a fever, chills and stomach problems. He said he didn’t feel it or he would be in the base. We talked about giving him thirty minutes, but we ended up putting him in at halftime. He and Matěj Náprstek returned it to us. The rotation just worked out for us. That was a big plus for us.”

You are still plagued by rot. Are you counting on Jan Chramosta in the near future?
“Probably not with Honza, he still has crutches. It looks like a long time there. We’ll see what Hurtado does, who actually substituted today due to injury. Hopefully it won’t be so bad that it’s just bumped. Absences accompany us, Tekijaški now fourth yellow. This is a complication, but if we look at the situation, I think that 35 points will automatically mean salvation. So we need to grab two more points somewhere.”

Goalkeeper Vilém Fendrich made his debut this season. How did he affect you? Should he have done something different before Fleišman’s goal?
“No chance. He stood well, but it was simply a beautifully struck goal. I also want to say to Vild that he came to Jablonec at the same time as me, and when he catches, we don’t lose. Although he only caught in the MOL Cup so far.”

“We will discuss it with goalkeeper coach Olda Pařízek and see. It will certainly be an interesting topic, because we won and Vilda did not catch badly.”

What about Matěj Nprstek? He scored his first goal for Jablonec.
“How to say it, Matěj is a bit unlucky. He did an excellent summer and winter preparation and looks great. But then there is always some downtime when they get sick or injured. I remember after the winter training that he was started, but an illness came, he was out for three weeks and was given antibiotics. We just had such problems that he would play 100%. The same thing happened in the fall. Bad luck accompanies him here. I have already told him many times, Matej, you work well, you will get a chance. Boom and angina. If he had been healthy, he would have had more opportunities during the season.”

Did you believe in the very conclusion that you would still turn it around?
“That match was not good from our side. If I compare it with Mlada Boleslav, it was completely different. We dominated there. Karviná kicked it forward to Ezeh, he was a tough opponent. And you know how it is, you still believe, but as the time went by, we were very happy already for the equalizing goal at 2:2. Then there was a hand situation as the referee discussed it. Someone behind me on the bridge was saying, don’t let the whistle blow, we’ll score from a corner. And there it fell. Sometimes football is sad and sometimes beautiful. We made up for the match with Mladá Boleslav now.”
