The actress Milena Steinmasslov has been fulfilling her heart project, weaving the surrealist paintings of Toyen, for years. Toyen has been coming back to my thoughts and heart for many years. It is like a dream, it escapes me and I struggle with human and artistic definitions, said the actress at the premiere, which will be presented by the Kolowrat Theater on Friday evening.

As it might seem at first glance, Toyen, who presented all the colors of solitude, did not just intend to start the first life of the artist, which has now become one of the best-selling Czech artists. It also offers a kind of magical combination of dance, dream and poetry.

Together with Steinmasslova, performer and dancer Klra Hajdinov appears in the news. Milena chose her because she felt that Toyen needed movement. I think she did it intuitively, but it’s completely out of place. In my production, Klera takes up a lot of space, she embodies a being that we will call Pera, who transforms not only into specific people, suddenly from different heads, but is also a leader for girls, explains director Tereza Karpianus.

And what exactly does the changing Pen symbolize? It is movement, it is the essence that Toyen is looking for, after n ptr. let’s say it’s honesty, truthfulness, and that’s what we’re looking for. And every time we think he’s holding her, she slips out and escapes. And that’s about time. Because it leads us further and deeper and prevents us from getting stuck and lost somewhere else, the researcher suggests.

The production is based on Milena Trfeldov’s monodrama, Karpianus has changed the text significantly for the production with two actors. The source of other information for my production was Andrey Sedlkov’s book Toyen, and other material was Jindich Heisler’s fairy tales and Jindich Tyrskho’s and Bohuslav Brouk’s stories. Mylenkov was inspired by interviews with Annie le Brun, who can be found on YouTube, books.

And then there is Toyen himself, an artistic genius, who I can’t bring to life, even if there will be small quotations, but together with the actors we go to the beginning of his work and to the beginning of artistic ensembles. I take our social context. Do we need umn? Change the world? How is his bed? Can I have fun with the hunter? Can I dig out the hunter for art? Is it then to go under umn? pitches the director for the new film, which Steinmasslov produces in addition to the main role.

There were paintings at the stop of my way to Toyen. You fooled me. And years later, Milena Trafeldov’s book and her monodrama written for me came to me, Steinmasslov describes. They really want the audience to laugh at Toyen, to be sad and searching, and not to put her in any category. It is a beautiful dream to be able to see an actor in a novelty that the audience can enjoy in the context of another theatrical work, which was recently created in Prague.

From the end of the year, the Vanda Theater will present the new play Tyrsk/Toyen/Heidler, written and directed by Martina Kinsk, in its Studio. Aneka astn, Jacob Erftemeijer and Mark Kristin Hochman star in the chamber performance of the avant-garde faces. Kinsk pbh describes a fictitious situation from the protectorate in 1942, when Toyen killed Jindich Heisler, a young slave of Jewish origin. This author also came out of Sedlkov’s books.

While in the Vandov Theater you will be playing your brand-new novel on May 9, 27 and 31, you can go to Kolowrat for a premium on Saturday, April 27, and then on May 20.
