For the first time in its history, our Kladruby Kindergarten organized a school in nature. On Tuesday, 9 May 2023, the registered children of preschool age said goodbye to their mothers and fathers and went by bus to the protected landscape area Český les, directly to the recreation center Rybník.

After we checked in, we set out to explore the immediate area. We discovered a beautiful children’s playground and the locals told us that it is brand new. We made good use of it and we were starving at the same time. After a delicious lunch, the teacher told us that elves live in the local woods. We met the Forester elf and the Forester fairy and set out to find them. And because we kept quiet in the forest, in no time some of us could already see the colorful caps. We took our magnifying glasses for a detailed survey. On the way back, we saved a piece of forest by clearing it of trash. The weather was kind to us that day, so a surprise awaited us in the evening in the form of a picnic on the meadow. We toasted burritos, bread, and enjoyed vegetables. After such a day full of experiences and after the evening fairy tale, we all fell asleep early and woke up in the morning in a good mood. Too bad it was raining outside. Even so, after breakfast we went to look for the treasure of the Elf Forester. We walked along the marked path in raincoats and rubber boots and completed various tasks, so the treasure was ours and it was worth it!
In the afternoon, the rain intensified, so we welcomed the opportunity to visit the bowling center. A lot of friends were bowling for the very first time and everyone was improving round by round. For our victory, we were rewarded with a diploma and toasted with champagne, children’s of course! After dinner we still had a disco, but before that we each received a letter or a look from mom, dad, or even the whole family. Although we missed someone and shed a few tears, when we all heard how much they liked us at home and that they were looking forward to seeing us, we immediately felt happier. And after a lot of dancing and dancing, we fell asleep satisfied.
The high school students from Tachov prepared an interesting morning for the pupils of Halže Primary and Kindergarten
The last morning was rainy again, but that didn’t matter at all, because Mrs. Jana Vobořilová and Mr. Vladimír Janovský from Lesů ČR from Horšovské Týn came to see us and they prepared a program about the forest for us. First, they explained to us how things work in the forest and asked what the difference is between a forester and a hunter. We also learned how and how long it takes for a seed to become an adult tree. Together we remembered what animals live in our forest and how to behave in a situation if we met a forest animal. The program was complemented by a practical demonstration of the horns and antlers of some forest animals, with the fact that we had the opportunity to see and touch the differences ourselves. The program was very nicely interspersed with engaging competitions and supplemented by filling in worksheets. At the end, the foresters tested us to see if we knew how not to behave in the forest, and we showed them that we knew it and that we could also sort the garbage. For all our hard work we were rewarded with a hunting cap, a pexe and gift items.
After lunch, we still had time to draw and name each of our sprites. We stuck them together and made a collage that is displayed in the outdoor showcase of the kindergarten garden. The bus was already waiting for us. And mothers in Kladruby too. On May 11, 2023, we arrived home tired, but happy and full of experiences.
