This afternoon there was a traffic accident in Na Sudech Street in Pilsen, namely a collision between a Volvo car and a street lamp post. The police went to the scene and it turned out that a drunk Ukrainian was behind the wheel of the car. This is the second, very similar traffic accident this day.
“The driver, born in 1990, was driving a Volvo in the direction of Lochotín and crashed into a street lamp in Na Sudech street. The driver’s breath test was positive with a result of 1.57 per thousand of alcohol in his breath. Police officers from the traffic inspectorate will further investigate the accident Pilsen-city,” a police spokesman told us.

Today, shortly before half past five in the morning, a traffic accident occurred in Pilsen at the intersection of Šumavská and Ukrainská streets, during which a car crashed into a traffic light and the driver then fled the scene.
Of course, several police patrols immediately started searching for the vehicle and its driver and managed to stop it opposite the New Theater. A heavily drunk Ukrainian was behind the wheel of the car.
“The driver, born in 1992, was driving a Škoda Fabia in the direction of Mikulášské náměstí and crashed into a traffic light at the Šumavská x Ukrainská intersection. He continued driving and was subsequently stopped in the prescribed manner by a police patrol at the Jízdecká x Palackého náměstí intersection.
The driver’s breath test for the presence of alcohol was positive with a result of 2.72 per thousand. Police officers from the Pilsen-město traffic inspectorate seized the man’s driver’s license on the spot and initiated criminal proceedings in the matter on suspicion of committing the crime of endangerment under the influence of an addictive substance.” the police spokesperson added to the information.
