Project through vicissitudes. The contract with the original operator of the paid parking lot expired at the end of the year, and the woman who submitted the most suitable offer and was supposed to start operating from January 2024 changed her mind and did not sign the contract. The choice of a new operator then extended the free parking for half a year.

In the most expensive locations in the city center, you should pay 20 crowns per hour for parking, and 10 crowns per hour in cheaper locations further from the center. Now, people will have to pay in the locations of the all-day parking lot, where they used to park for free until now, for example in the parking lot in s. . One-day parking costs 40 crowns. Visitors to the city center will be able to pay in parking machines by card or using a mobile application.
Get ready for campaign information
The report on parking rates, which the city council established in June 2023, was the basis for the introduction. The system, as it was set up a year ago, remains the same. Residents and subscribers will be able to buy a parking lot in individual zones or a combination of zones. It will depend only on them, what type and extent of parking they will need, explains Deputy Mayor of Teplice Hynek Hanza (ODS).
Before the start of heavy traffic, the Teplice Town Hall will prepare an information campaign about subscription options, parking prices and payment methods, including an introduction and procedure. This will lead to the launch of a new information portal with an overview of the most important things about the parking lot for residents, subscribers and newcomers.
The site will thus be a portal for the purchase and management of parking permits, which can be purchased during the season and immediately replaced by placing a parking card in the vehicle. To pay for short-term parking in the buildings, visitors will be able to use a mobile application or parking machines located on the street.
The new supplier and operator of the system will be Itego. This operator has gained a lot of experience with operating parking lots in Prague and other big cities. His references are very good, adds Hanza.
