The drama began in the tram where, according to camera footage, the thief approached the elderly woman just before the doors opened. Then he snatched the purse from her hands and quickly ran outside.
The senior woman quickly followed him. But Lump was quickly increasing his lead over her. Therefore, the victim desperately called for help.
At that time, a man (35) was passing by. “He heard a scream and saw the young man running and throwing things out of the lady’s purse he was holding. You could also hear the call “catch the thief!”. He stopped by an elderly woman who was screaming for help. She confirmed to him that she was robbed on the tram,” said police spokeswoman Petra Hrůzová.

The hero didn’t wait for anything and immediately went after the villain. “After a few minutes, he reached it, ran out of the car and arrested the young man. Bystanders asked to call the police. But no one responded,” described the disgusting reaction of passers-by police spokesmen.
Up to two years
Fortunately, the man was able to manage on his own. He kneed the suspect so that one of his hands was free, pulled out a cell phone and called the police. “The young man went to the police cell, he was accused of theft and unauthorized use of a means of payment. He can end up behind bars for up to two years,” continued Hrůzová.
The police are now thanking the hero. “We thank the brave man who caught the perpetrator. We are glad that there are people who are not indifferent to what is happening around them. There is no need to throw yourself into danger, but you can also help a lot by reporting immediately and anonymously to the emergency line.” the police spokeswoman added.
