In recent weeks, the Sigma fans have been mainly happy with the second-league B-team, which has won five of the last six matches, climbed to fourth place in the table and is only one score worse than the third-placed Táborsko, which holds one of the two positions ensuring participation in the play-off for promotion to the highest competition.

A better tomorrow – it seems – could dawn on the A-team as well. After the change of coach, when Václav Jílek was replaced as head coach by his assistant Jiří Saňák, Sigma fumbled for a long time. The owner of the club, SK Olomouc Sigma MŽ, received an offer to buy an undisclosed amount of shares from an American investment company.

The development will be such that the club authorities will deal with the offer. We do not want to provide details about a possible transaction at this time. We will possibly communicate them in accordance with the development of the situation,” explained Beneš.
