Ústí Region – For the area of tourism in the Ústí Region, specifically for the offer of tourist transport, there is significant good news. The Railway Administration is working on the commissioning of the Goat Railway section from Telnice to Krupka. He is now finalizing the tender documentation and preparing to call for tenders for construction work in this more than nine-kilometer section. “I am very happy that the Railway Administration is proceeding with the next stage of the restoration of the Goat Railway, it is the right step to support tourism. The Ústí Region has already ordered transportation, so the carrier can resume operations in this new section immediately after the completion of the work. The goat track can still run from Děčín to Krupka this year,” says Jan Růžička, councilor of the Ústí Region.

As the deputy mayor of Krupka, Rostislav Kadlec, added, the new Unčín station will bring passengers closer to Kyšperk Castle, the Bohosudov station will provide a connection to the cable car to Komáří Vížka, and the Krupka station will be a new option for the city to visit the heritage zone, Krupka Castle, the educational trail In the Footsteps of Miners, the mining cultural landscape and the Starý Martin tunnel, which is part of the UNESCO world heritage.

The tourist line is in operation on weekends and national holidays from the end of March to the beginning of November.

Due to the necessary cooperation and agreement of many cities and municipalities, property rights and the necessity of processing the investment plan and the need to obtain a subsidy, completion is estimated in a few years.
