The game music of GAMES with the Film Philharmonic will enchant the Rudolfinum

--

The fourth installment of the GAMES game music concert on Saturday 4/27 will bring both music from the hits of the Czech video game industry Mafia and Kingdom Come: Deliverance, as well as world titles League of Legends, Diablo and The Elder Scrolls. Mikoláš Tuček, a legend of gaming journalism, will lead the audience through the concert. The concert is sold out.

It was clear that the GAMES game music concert program would become a permanent fixture in the Filmharmonie’s repertoire right after its first presentation in 2018. Listening to unmistakable game music performed by a large symphony orchestra with a choir – moreover, in the festive atmosphere of Prague’s Rudolfinum – is an experience that loved by game fans.

In the second half of the 2023/2024 concert season, the Film Philharmonic will present a concert program dedicated to game music for the fourth time. The 150-member orchestra and choir will play music from the best-known titles and new releases for the audience. In addition to iconic jingles from hits such as The Elder Scrolls or League of Legends, listeners will also be treated to new releases in the form of Diablo 3 or the world-awarded new release Baldur’s Gate 3 by Bulgarian author Borislav Slavov, who has exclusively lent his sheet music to the Film Philharmonic.

The home scene will also be represented. Traditionally, music from the leading Czech titles Mafia I and Kingdom Come: Deliverance will be heard, and for the first time, the audience will also be able to enjoy music from the recent release of the Bohemia Interactive studio Arma Reforger, performed by Filmharmonie. The evening’s moderator will be the legend of Czech game journalism, Mikoláš Tuček.

Great cosplayers will complete the atmosphere for the audience, with whom visitors will be able to meet and take pictures in the foyer during the break. One of the most successful representatives of the young generation of conductors, Ondřej Vrabec, will lead the orchestra.
