Saturday marked by accidents: a collision between a car and a pedestrian and a car covered in mud off the road

ZLÍN, HUNGARY – At 10:20 a.m. on Saturday, a unit of professional firefighters from the Zlín station, as well as a unit of the Statutory City of Zlín, was dispatched to a reported traffic accident in the local part of the city of Zlín – Salaše. Upon arrival and investigation, it was confirmed that there had been a collision between a car and a pedestrian.

The firemen helped the paramedics and provided psychological first aid to the participants. The injured person was airlifted from the scene. As soon as the Police of the Czech Republic finished documenting the accident, the traffic was resumed in a shuttle manner and the firemen ensured the direction of traffic on the busy road. After less than two hours, the intervention was completed and the firefighters returned to their bases.

Shortly before eight o’clock in the evening, another traffic accident was reported to the regional operations center, namely in Uherské Hradiště, a local part of Míkovice. According to the whistleblower, a car crashed through the roof and there were injured people. A unit of professional firefighters from the Uherské Hradiště station immediately went to the event with two tankers. After heavy rain, there was a large amount of mud on the spot and the Volkswagen car was off the road at the time of arrival. The driver and passenger were taken into care by the medical emergency service. Firefighters secured the car against the risk of fire and cleaned the road. For this, it was necessary to call another large-capacity tanker to the site.

Once the car was loaded for towing service and the road surface cleared, safe and smooth traffic was restored.
