UHERSKOHRADIŠTSKO: You got more than a quarter of a million crowns by fraud.
In the past few days, detectives arrested a twenty-three-year-old man in connection with fraudulent criminal activity in the sale of tickets.
Since 2022, the young man has been responding to requests for tickets to various cultural and sports events on internet portals. After paying the required amount in advance, he sent fake tickets to the interested parties. Some counterfeits were detected by buyers immediately. The others only discovered its inauthenticity when it was presented at a specific event. The man continued to communicate with the victims and even returned the money to some of them. The number of cheated people is more than five hundred to date. In the way described, he became richer by more than a quarter of a million crowns.
The accused man, who is currently in custody, faces up to five years behind bars for the crime of fraud.
The police recommend that interested parties purchase tickets only from verified sellers.
