Prison? That tends to be a springboard. Notice for the Feri case

--

The government approved “artist status”. Their support is said to cost 126 million crowns. Do you think artists will flock to being a “registered artist”, won’t it be too reminiscent of communist “national artists”?

Quite a few artists or “artists” – not excluding the front ones – money doesn’t stink, as you know, so I wouldn’t really worry about the lack of outstretched hands. After all, it is enough to look at what “art works”, advertisements or political campaigns some of them are involved in. Otherwise, on the part of our politicians, this is another of the steps that can be used to bribe, excuse me, to subsidize in one’s own image. I haven’t read about that new statute in detail, but I have a feeling that it is another pointless thing through which money will fly down the drain.

Minister Helena Langšádlová quits for TOP 09. Commentator Lenka Zlámalová commented that she should not quit personally, but should the number of ministers be reduced? What do you think about it?

I absolutely agree. With all disrespect, we have more ministers, deputies, senators and other political scumbags than flies over the latrine. And that those flies at least have their justification. The current government, which is “different” from Babiš’s – although it is exactly the same, i.e. again rather an order of magnitude worse – logically, however, it will not deny itself troughs and a warm place generously paid for by burning money from our pockets. Unfortunately, the vast majority of politruks are the same and equally useless in all modes, and otherwise completely unsustainable in real life.

Ukraine will stop providing consular services to men abroad of draft age. So, for example, they will not be able to renew their passport. They are obviously trying to get everyone who could serve in the army, Poland has already volunteered to help them get them back. My impression is that it is against international law, but more importantly, is it ethical?

Those above and behind the mirror don’t care about what is or isn’t ethical. And the war with Russia must be fought to the last Ukrainian. I’m afraid that after some time maybe even the last Pole, Lithuanian, Latvian, Finn, Czech… But let’s hope and believe in the best and prepare for the worst…

Dominik Feri was legally sentenced to three years for rape, which he still insisted he did not commit. With the passage of time, how do you view this case?

Any form of so-called “metoo” coercion, when suddenly someone remembers something, is highly suspicious – if not disgusting – to me. However, I am aware that a number of cases have actually happened and are happening. As for Feri, one of the “most promising European politicians” at the time, he should know if he is guilty, and I hope the courts should decide on this as soon as possible. However we suspect that believing in worldly justice and judgments is often similar to believing in Baby Jesus, Santa Claus, or Santa carrying gifts under the tree.

Apparently, Feri is not as innocent as he claims. From the point of view of progressive politics and contemporary alliances, it is only appropriate that Feri himself tasted the fruits that he and his party helped to grow in our countries. As is well known, the revolution eats its children, and here it was – quite surprisingly for me – carried out by Feri, who otherwise, with his demeanor, behavior, age, appearance, coloring… in short, threw everything into the incubator of contemporary progressive political cadres. After all, who knows how his journey will soon continue. That prison – whether it’s a prison or a prison – often acts as a “stepping stone”. Just think of imprisoned cadres like Havel, Walesa, Husák, Castro, Hitler…

In the background, there is a debate about pension reform. But not so much about how to actually carry it out, but who refused to participate in it, if ANO is responsible and constructive, etc. Isn’t it pointless? The pension reform will be redone fifty more times anyway, and everyone has already heard the fairy tale “YES is bad, bad, bad”.

As you say. It’s just a political theater drama for the plebs. The meaning of this – as well as a number of other “debates” in the plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies – is zero. The only real impact is the marketing-PR impact before the upcoming elections and the attempt to discredit ANO, which according to surveys is growing in preference.

Ondřej Dostál from STÁCILO! they didn’t just cancel the debate, they outright banned it. Specifically, it was the liquidator of the property owned by the city, Viktor Švantner. This is a rather unhealthy trend, isn’t it?

Unhealthy and especially dangerous. As I have already repeated several times: In our democracy, everyone has the right to their opinion, but alas, it is different from ours. Contemporary pro-regime tyrants and censors – mistakenly – convinced of their only possible truth and claiming a patent for reason, do not realize that in time they too will come. As I wrote about Feri, the revolution always eats its children and the time will come when someone else, based on Švatner’s precedent, will settle accounts with himself. So either we have freedom of speech or we don’t. However, freedom of expression must be unconditional – within the limits of the law, of course – otherwise we cannot speak of it as freedom.

Pope Francis spoke again on Wednesday, but this time for the American CBS. World, wonder, again calls for the parties to negotiate peace. Do you think he will be shouted down again, or will even the greedy get used to the fact that the Pope has appeals for peace and the preservation of human lives in his job description?

I have to say that I am not a fan of Bergoglio as the first Jesuit on the papal throne who, according to a number of indications, is destroying the Church – or rather Christianity – from within. However, it seems that even the exception proves the rule with him, and of course I acknowledge and praise his repeated calls for peace and the preservation of human lives – if they are meant seriously and if they are not just empty words in a situation where Bergoglio knows he can allow. As you say yourself, these are some of the fundamental questions that the Pope should defend. Therefore, asking the Pope to do anything other than calling for peace and love is again only an Orwellian distortion of concepts.

Ukraine (War in Ukraine)

Reports from the battlefield are difficult to verify in real time, regardless of whether they come from any side of the conflict. Both warring parties, for understandable reasons, may release completely or partially false (misleading) information.
