The anthem of the European Union, Ode to Joy, was not played in the streets, but EU flags flew on every corner, children ran with them and adults talked about what had changed in two decades. Most of the events in Prague were concentrated on Strelecky Island. It became the venue for celebrating the entry of the Czech Republic into the European Union and Labor Day.
