According to the iDNES.cz source, Regionova’s unit took off in an arc at a speed of 103 km/h.
At the scene of the accident, rescue operations are currently underway, units of professional and volunteer fire fighters, as well as the fire brigade of Sprvy eleznice (S), are responding, Veronika varcov Mocov, press secretary of the Central Czech fire department, told iDNES.cz.
At the Isovice railway station, the empty engine of the 814 unit headed towards Skochovice. There were no passengers or only staff on the train at the time of the extraordinary incident. The train was stopped and locked at that moment, the railways described the incident.
According to them, however, the evening safety rules worked immediately and the traffic on the track was immediately stopped to go ahead, not the Region’s unit derailed the pipe at 24.6. kilometer down Bojovskho potok.
The reasons for the unit’s spontaneous departure will now be investigated by the Drn inspection inspector. The train driver was put out of service, D was closed for the time being. The train was lying on its side off the tracks.
The police will find out how the incident happened, if there was a technical problem or why the train started, said police officer Michaela Richterov.
An alternative bus service has been introduced for passengers on the route Mchenice – Bojanovice – isovice – Bojov – Klnec and back and Mchenice – isovice – Mnek pod Brdy – Dob and back, Czech Railways (D) said on its website.
According to D, traffic on the line will be restored around midnight. Prask integrated transport added that the date for the resumption of operations is currently set for tomorrow.
