“I apologize to everyone for voting for you.” The famous professor “spit” on Fiala

--

Defense Minister Jana Černochová recently appeared on the X social network with new sweatshirts that are printed with motifs in support of Ukraine. The sweatshirts come from the workshop of Josef Bodnár from LetsPunchIt and Tety Tapety.

Černochová herself reported that Josef Bodnát asked her if she could donate a few sweatshirts as a thank you to those who participate in the Czech ammunition initiative.

“Today I definitely fulfilled this ‘task’ and I even managed to take off the jacket of Mr. Prime Minister Petr Fiala, who probably for the first time publicly put away his elegant outfit,” boasted the Minister of Defense.

In addition to Fiala, foreign minister Jan Lipavský, minister of industry and trade Jozef Síkela, national security adviser Tomáš Pojar and director of the Intergovernmental Defense Cooperation Agency-AMOS Aleš Vytečka received sweatshirts of different colors, on which the Czech lion rearranges ammunition for Ukraine.

“I am very proud that our country is helping Ukraine and that our munitions initiative is receiving a positive response not only in the world, but also in the Czech Republic,” Černochová concluded the post with thanks.

Czech artist Professor Milan Knížák addressed an open letter to the Prime Minister in response to the photos of Fiala and Černochová in sweatshirts. He perceives the print on sweatshirts as a misuse of the national symbol.

“Allow me to express my indignation at your photo with Mrs. Černochová, where you are showing T-shirts decorated with the national emblem – the Czech lion with a pile of bullets. I consider it a shameful misuse of the national emblem and I inform you that I am one of those who do not agree with your positions,” the professor wrote.

He scolded the Prime Minister that he could not use the national emblem to demonstrate his personal views. “As an individual, you undoubtedly have the right to adore a corrupt Ukraine led by a blackmailing president. As a representative of our state, you have no right to that,” he told Fial.

“I apologize to everyone for choosing you. With your current actions, you are supporting the return of Babiš’s government,” wrote Knížák.

At the end of the letter, he said that since he himself was born at the beginning of the Second World War, he remembers the anxiety and fear that prevailed. “I don’t know who is to blame for the current conflict, because your regime has again introduced censorship, but in any case I raise my hand for a life without wars,” added Professor Milan Knížák.

The complete text of Professor Milan Knížák’s open letter

Mr. Prime Minister Fiala,

Allow me to express my indignation at your photo with Mrs. Černochová, where you are showing T-shirts decorated with the national emblem – the Czech lion with a pile of bullets. I consider it a shameful misuse of the national emblem and I inform you that I am one of those who disagree with your positions. You cannot use the national emblem (in addition to its caricature), which symbolizes the Czech state and its history, to demonstrate personal attitudes. As an individual, you undoubtedly have the right to adore a corrupt Ukraine led by a blackmailing president. As a representative of our state, you have no right to that.

I apologize to everyone for voting for you. With your current actions, you are supporting the return of Babiš’s government.

I was born at the beginning of the Second World War and I remember the anxiety and fear. I don’t know who is to blame for the current conflict, as your regime has re-introduced censorship, but in any case, I raise my hand for a life without wars.

Prof. Milan Knížak
