Weather in Prague: May rain and thunderstorm, Tuesday will be cold, otherwise temperatures around 20

The forecast for the following week was prepared by meteorologists from the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (ČHMU).

On Monday they predict cloudy to overcast, occasional rain in places in the morning. Occasional showers in the afternoon. In the evening, increasing precipitation from the southwest, occasionally thunderstorms. Highest temperatures 20 to 22 °C. Weak changeable, northerly wind up to 4 m/s in the afternoon and evening.

“A wavy frontal interface will move southeast from Central Europe and will initially affect the weather here. The edge of the high pressure center centered over the British Isles will gradually spread towards us,” they said in the weekly forecast on the ČHMU website.

On Tuesday, let’s expect cloudy to cloudy, sometimes rain or showers, at first the precipitation will be more permanent, so definitely don’t forget your umbrella at home, and you won’t be stupid if you dress a little more. The highest daily temperatures only rise to 16 to 18 °C, with more permanent precipitation around 14 °C. Moderate north-west to north, gradually north-east wind 2 to 5 m/s.

We will see cloudy to overcast conditions during the day on Wednesday, decreasing cloud cover in the evening. Lowest night temperatures 10 to 8 °C. Highest daily temperatures 16 to 18 °C. Light northeast to north wind 2 to 5 m/s.

The sun will appear on Thursday. According to the ČHMU, it will be clear to partly cloudy, cloudy in the afternoon and evening. Lowest night temperatures 6 to 4 °C. Highest daily temperatures 19 to 21 °C. Weak northeast to north wind up to 4 m/s.

It will be partly cloudy to cloudy on Friday. Morning temperatures 9 to 5 °C. Highest daily temperatures 17 to 21 °C. Light to moderate northwest wind.

On Saturday it will be partly cloudy to cloudy. Morning temperatures 12 to 8 °C in the east, 8 to 4 °C in the west. Highest daily temperatures 17 to 21 °C.

On Sunday, it will be partly cloudy to cloudy, with some rain or showers. Morning temperatures 11 to 7 °C. Highest daily temperatures 16 to 20 °C.
