We continue our contact campaign throughout the country! The next stop for Alexander Vondra, Veronika Vrecionová and Ondřej Krutílek was the Pilsen region. They commemorated the 79th anniversary of the end of World War II here, and also met representatives of local agriculture and industry in the region. They ended the entire trip with a memorial service, Thanks, America!, where they honored the memory of all those who participated in the liberation of the city of Pilsen in 1945.

“The freedom celebrations in Pilsen are an event with an extraordinary atmosphere. Together with hundreds of people, we watched the Freedom Convoy, which included 300 pieces of American military equipment. From Pilsen we headed to Klatov and Domažlice, where we laid flowers at the monument to the liberation by the American army and went in a historical procession to the memorial plaque of Matt Konop. It makes me extremely happy that the associations of military-historical technology maintain this tradition and bring both our history and the brave stories of the heroes of that time closer to the younger generations,” said Alexandr Vondra.

“During our visit to the Pilsen region, we also visited the Hyršov farm. I was honestly pleased with their approach to agriculture – they do business here almost without subsidies and it is clear that they think several steps ahead in all their activities. Thanks to this, they are able to quickly diversify their production if necessary. In addition to agricultural activities, they also take care of the landscape and the quality of the soil. For example, they built ponds that enhance the landscape, but above all help retain water, which is essential for our nature,” said Veronika Vrecionová.
“The Pilsen region has lived up to its reputation as the center of Czech engineering – and they are certainly not resting on their laurels here! It is precisely in engineering, but also in a number of other areas, that the region is moving forward very quickly. The integration of innovative IT technologies and artificial intelligence shows that the region is actively responding to new challenges and is constantly developing. This is exactly the direction we should follow,” concluded Ondřej Krutílek.
