In advance, from Wednesday 8 May until Sunday 26 May, significant traffic and safety measures will apply, especially in the vicinity of the O2 Arena in Libni and in the adjacent streets, where the entry of cars will be partially or completely prohibited. The Prague City Police will check the location using mobile license plate readers to see if the drivers hold an entry permit.

“We recommend fans to use public transport, especially the metro. “We will strengthen public transport during the hockey World Cup, and the Českomoravská metro line B station is located right next to the O2 arena,” said Deputy Mayor of Prague for Transport Zdeněk Hřib (Pirates).

When traveling by car to the capital city, it is advisable to use the network of P+R parking lots, the nearest of which is located at Černý Most, and continue using the city’s public transport. Parking capacities in the wide vicinity of the arena will be greatly limited.

However, for parking in paid parking zones not only in Prague 9, you will still need a valid parking permit. The hourly visitor parking rate will also be increased to 40 crowns per hour in the designated area around the hall, continuously.

Transport company hl. The city of Prague plans to increase metro traffic on line B in the Smíchovské nádraží – Českomoravská zone on individual game days at exposed times. On Sunday, May 26, after the end of the final match, the transport company will extend the subway operation on all three lines past midnight until approximately 1:00 a.m.

The hockey hall is also within walking distance of the tram stops Arena Libeň jih (day lines 7, 8 and night line 92), Vysočany Polyclinic or Divadlo Gong (day lines 12, 31 and night line 94), as well as Českomoravská bus stops (lines 151 , 152 and 375) and Nádraží Libeň (lines 136, 177, 182, 183, 195 and night line 913), but it is also located not far from the Praha–Libeň and Praha–Vysočany train stations.

Due to the closure of the Českomoravská bus terminal for all traffic, including public transport, the Českomoravská bus stop will be moved to K Moravině Street at the intersection with Drahobejlova Street for the duration of the World Ice Hockey Championship.
