The popular show of the Czech army and military equipment called Army day is returning to Atria Flora and the surrounding area. It will take place for the seventh time and visitors can look forward to it on Saturday, May 18 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The event is held in cooperation with the Army of the Czech Republic, the Castle Guard and the Military Police. Young and old visitors will be able to see for themselves how the most modern and interesting equipment of our army looks and works.

The main attraction will undoubtedly be military equipment. You can look forward to the Pandur armored personnel carrier, the Danu self-propelled cannon howitzer or the TITUS armored wheeled vehicle. The highlight of this year’s program will be an extraordinary flyover of a formation of Mi-17 and W-3A Sokol helicopters.

And if you prefer action to observation, there is an airsoft shooting range in the shopping center. Here you will experience what it is like to aim at the target and hit the target.

For those of you who are attracted to a career as a professional soldier, army recruiters are looking forward to presenting visitors with the possibilities of employment in the armed forces, studying at military schools, serving in the active reserve and participating in a voluntary military exercise. Those interested will even be able to test your physical fitness.

A rich accompanying program is then prepared for the whole family. Soldiers will demonstrate demonstrations of close combat, roping or training army dogs. You can also look forward to a parade of military uniforms. The exhibition performance was prepared by members of the ACR Honor Guard. And you will also learn something about the necessity of proper military camouflage and the art of camouflage. You will also meet a number of successful army athletes here.

Come on Saturday, May 18 for Army day. The program will be more than varied and action-packed, so it would be a shame not to be there! The event is free to the public.
