On Wednesday evening, the regional police charged a 37-year-old man with the particularly serious crime of murder. On Tuesday evening, he was supposed to stab a woman, who later succumbed to her injuries. According to the police, it was a matter of dealing with partner disagreements between homeless people.

On Wednesday evening, regional criminal investigators charged a thirty-seven-year-old man with the particularly serious crime of murdering a forty-four-year-old woman in the center of Pilsen. According to the accusation, the man should have stabbed her in Křižík orchards on Tuesday. “She was taken to the hospital in a serious condition, where she succumbed to her injuries the next day, despite the best efforts of the doctors,” informed police spokeswoman Iva Vršecká.
The police officers inspected the place and on Tuesday and Wednesday engaged in a number of procedural actions. Divers from the intervention unit, police officers from the special order unit, criminal investigators from the Plzeň Municipal Police Directorate, dog handlers and police officers from the Pilsen – Center drainage department also took part in the search. The newspaper reported on the case already on Tuesday, when the woman was still alive.

Vršecká stated that shortly after the crime, the police had identified a person who could have committed this violent act. “We arrested the man in question as recently as Tuesday evening, and regional criminal investigators carried out a whole series of actions with him, including his participation in the background check at the scene of the crime today,” she noted.

The men were charged by detectives on Wednesday evening. “We will file a motion for his custodial prosecution. The whole incident took place between persons from the community of people without shelter, when the now accused man was supposed to settle their partner disagreements with the injured woman,” the police said on the X social network (formerly Twitter)
