“Voting in our first-ever participatory budget ends this Friday, May 10. Our projects have received over eleven hundred votes from you so far. The selected plans now include a workout playground in the courtyard of Plaská Street, a weather station near primary schools and the planting of fruit trees in the Zemník and Podzemník parks,” said the management of the first city district.
You can vote on the website https://www.rozhodnetesami.cz/plzen1/. Citizens can choose from a total of fifteen projects. They have two upvotes and one downvote.
What projects are the residents of Jednička voting on?
Among the proposals is a snail in U Bazénu park, footpaths near Družba, at the phone clinic in Sokolovská Street and also in Manětínská Street, dog urinals in Roudná, planting fruit trees in Zemník and Podzemník parks in Košutka, a weather station near primary schools in Jednička, a photo spot with a view of Plzeň na Sylván, workout playground in the inner block of Plaská Street, nativity scene in U Bazénu Park, planting of ornamental trees in front of the Na Chmelnice Children’s Center, removal of flower pots in Západní Street and improvement of the public space, planting of bulbs in the central strip of Na Chmelnice, light Christmas decoration to Roudná and a resting place on Mikulka.
“These are topics that came directly from citizens. They gave them to us in person, by phone, by e-mail or via our social networks. We have assessed all the named projects and know that they are feasible,” said the first deputy mayor of Jednička, Miroslav Šuma, who is in charge of the area of investments and the environment.
The topics (maximum three) that collect the most positive votes will be implemented this year or next year, up to the amount of 1.5 million crowns.
