The thief, who decided to choose a car in Prague 6, did not get away with the stolen items. A criminal investigator lives in the house opposite. He followed him from the apartment, ran after him and detained him. The offender, who was recently released from prison, will return there for up to three years.
The thief set out to steal on Saturday, May 4 before eleven in the evening. He chose a car parked in Jílková Street in Prague 6.
“He got in without any damage and stole a tool case and an impact wrench from the boot. His actions caused damage to the owner amounting to nearly ten thousand crowns. However, the thief did not get far with his loot, because his actions were being watched the whole time by a criminal investigator from the eighth department of Prague I who lives in the opposite house on his free time. a police spokesman described on the website Richard the Hero.
He went after him, caught up with him and detained him using coercive means. He then called for help from uniformed colleagues, who took the thief to the office.
“There, through lustration, they discovered that the 28-year-old man is a property recidivist and was released from prison a few months ago,” added the Hero.
For the crime of theft, the thief can be imprisoned for up to three years, because he has already been punished for the same activity in the last three years.
