Seventeen units of firefighters with twenty-two pieces of equipment are on the scene, and employees have been evacuated

Today around half past three in the afternoon, a large number of professional and volunteer fire brigades went to Hrádek u Rokycan, where a fire was reported in one of the production halls in Rokycanská street.

“The third degree of fire alarm has been announced. The roof of the industrial building is on fire, at this moment the fire is 10 x 15 meters in size and is spreading through the sandwich structure of the roof,” the press spokesman of the fire department told us a few minutes ago.

At the moment, seventeen units of firefighters with twenty-two pieces of equipment, including special Cobra fire extinguishing equipment, are on the scene and the building has been evacuated. We currently have no information that anyone has been injured.

We are monitoring the situation and adding information gradually.

On Monday, May 6, before eleven o’clock in the morning, professional and volunteer firefighters from twelve units went out to the fire in the storage hall on the premises of the Karlovy Vary porcelain company, which was reported by the employees to the emergency line.
“Firefighters from the II fire alarm level were immediately dispatched to the scene. Inside the hall, wooden pallets and packaging material were on fire. None of the employees were inside, the incident was uninjured,” described the press spokesman of the fire department.

Firefighters managed to prevent the fire from spreading to surrounding buildings, and there was no need to limit further traffic in the company’s premises. During the intervention, wooden pallets damaged by the fire also fell from the shelves, so the firefighters had to proceed with caution and it was necessary to remove part of the stored goods from the hall.

“Before two o’clock in the afternoon, the fire commander was able to confirm that the fire is under control and there is no risk of further spread. The balancing of pallets with goods continues to rule out all outbreaks. Fire investigators have been on the scene since the start of the fire, the cause and extent of the damage is under investigation . After three in the afternoon, the fire was extinguished.” the fire department spokesman concluded.
