The Prague municipality has issued a tender for the project documentation of the planned connection of the collector on Senovážné náměstí with the one that runs under the Vltava under the Hlávkov bridge. ČTK found this out from the Public Procurement Gazette. The costs of connecting the collectors are not yet known, according to earlier estimates they should be around 500 million crowns. Collectors are underground tunnels through which utility networks run.

In addition to networks that require water pipes or electrical lines, according to earlier information, the collector could in the future provide remote heat supply to the planned new district in Bubne-Zátory in Prague 7 from the planned energy center at the Central Wastewater Treatment Plant (ÚČOV) on Císařský ostrov. It is supposed to produce heat from waste water, the councilors recently approved the start of its project preparation.

In addition to the above-mentioned project, the city plans to build collectors in other places in the center, for example on Wenceslas Square or in Ječná. It is not yet clear when the preparation of projects for these places will begin. The municipal company Kolektory Praha is in charge of underground utility networks in Prague, managing about 94 kilometers of underground tunnels.
