On Friday night, Russia launched another large-scale air attack on Ukraine, which reports damage to energy infrastructure in various parts of the country. Dnepropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions report outages in electricity supplies, the BBC writes on its Russian-language website. Ukrainian Air Force Commander Mykola Oleschuk announced on the Telegram platform that Ukrainian air defense destroyed 84 of the total 99 missiles and drones attacked by Russia. Due to the Russian attack on neighboring Ukraine, Polish and allied military planes took off in Poland as a precaution.

Explosions were heard in the Ukrainian cities of Dnipro, Khmelnytskyi and Ivano-Frankivsk on the night of Friday, the server Ukrainska Pravda wrote in the morning, according to which the invading army launched an air strike from several directions. According to the BBC, the Russians attacked using drones and ballistic missiles, possibly using cruise missiles.

Ukrainian energy companies Ukrenerho and DTEK report damage to energy equipment. “Thermal and hydropower plants in the central and western regions (of the country) were damaged,” Ukrenerho’s company said on the Telegram platform. DTEK writes on the same social network that the Russians attacked three of its thermal power plants and records serious damage to the equipment and one injured employee.

The number of possible injured or victims is not yet completely clear. According to the BBC, several injuries are reported from the Dnepropetrovsk region.
