Samsung’s metal lines are traditionally occupied by phones that usually have some direct function, but of course we can find standards in their entertainment. It is therefore logical that their cameras are not as sophisticated as those of the top-of-the-line Galaxy S model. On the other hand, they are good and take long-term photos, which is also shown by the results in the DxO Mark tests. The Samsung Galaxy A series do not excel in them, but they have solid performance, which makes them quite interesting affordable photomobiles.

And this year, among the most interesting choices, the Galaxy A35 and A55 models are surprisingly cheaper than the current main pair. While the Galaxy A55 scored 108 points in the DxO Mark test, the cheaper Galaxy A35 scored 104 points. And that’s a negligible difference, especially when you consider that the Galaxy A35 costs 9,490 crowns, while the A55 costs 11,990 crowns. In addition, this means that while the A55 model has improved by one point compared to its predecessor, the A35, compared to the A34 model, the A35 has improved by a whopping twelve points. This is one of the best inter-generational shifts in the game ever.

In addition, it is true that the Galaxy A35 shows a consistent performance and that the phone did not rush the phone only in a specific discipline. And so, the phone received 107 points for photos taken with the main camera, while its older sibling scored 110. Even the Galaxy A35 has a better bokeh effect than its older colleague (50 points compared to 45 points), while the Galaxy A55 leads again in the view on the display and zoom. but again small: m 54 and 75 points, while A35 shows 52 and 71 points. Only for the video is the difference seven points: 110 vs. 117 points in favor of an expensive model.

It is worth noting that both phones with different hardware achieve such a similar result. The A55 essentially includes the same set of cameras as the A54, i.e. a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens and a five-megapixel macro lens. Moving forward, there should be a new Exynos 1480 processor, but it didn’t do so well in the DxO Mark evaluation.

The Galaxy A35 has a 50-megapixel main camera, but with a different chip, just like its predecessor and its expensive sibling, it lacks optical image stabilization. The A34 model has a 48-megapixel main camera. the wide-angle camera has 8 megapixels and again there is a 5-megapixel macro, these are the same parameters as with the predecessor. Only while it had a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 ip, the A35 uses the Exynos 1380 from the A54. And that one, as you can see, does basically the same good job as the new Exynos 1480 in the old A55.

In the context of the competition, the first A35 model is especially interesting. In terms of its camera, the Motorola Edge 40 Neo, which is cheaper by 1,500 crowns, is slightly better. But the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro with a price of 6,990 crowns scored 120 in the DxO Mark photo test. The bag has a rather inflated 200-megapixel main camera. But the Pro+ variant only gave him an extra point and cost 11,000 crowns. The benchmark among cheap photomobiles, the Google Pixel 7a, which has a DxO Mark rating of 133 points, will also be released on the eleventh press.

Accordingly, it seems to me that Samsung has a lot to say about its available smartphones in terms of focus. And of course it’s true, on the other hand, there are relatively extreme falls and a price that in its price category (up to 10,000 crowns) the Galaxy A35 is one of the best photomobiles on the market. By the way, it is also quite interesting to see the cheaper Galaxy A25 model, which scored 92 points, i.e. the same as the first score of the A34. The Galaxy A15 5G model then has 83 points, the LTE version by 2 points.
