The palace told the BBC that there are more events to come in the coming weeks. The king is said to be “very encouraged” and wants to participate in public events.

However, it remains uncertain whether it will arrive at any of the big events in the near future, such as “Trooping the Colour”, commemorating the Normandy landings or summer garden parties. According to the palace, decisions will be made based on the recommendations of doctors in the near future. However, he added that it will not be a “whole summer program”. Charles III he has missed the usual royal public engagements since undergoing surgery for an enlarged prostate and subsequent cancer diagnosis announced in February.
