Alcaraz on a harsh lesson from Dimitrov: He trained me as a thirteen-year-old boy

--

Since Alcaraz is only twenty, you might argue that the seven-year age difference is not so significant. A very talented man used this measure mainly because he had to search his memory for a long time to remember when he felt like a prisoner on the court.

He played great tennis, almost perfect, he was proud of the twelve year old Bulgarian. I couldn’t find a way to make him uncomfortable.

On the court, he suffered under fire in a total of 24 difficult der soupee, he used one of the five provided break points. And finally, after an hour and a half, he wiped off the rather rough pork.

I have a lot of frustration, it was just, like the world games at the press conference. I talked to the darkness and said I didn’t know what to do.

While Alcaraz was sad that after the quarter-final crash he lost a chance to win the so-called Sunshine Double, i.e. winning Indian Wells and Miami in one season, Dimitrov smiled.

Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov celebrated advancing to the semifinals of the tournament in Miami.

I went to the rescue very conscientiously, I had a clear idea of what I had to do. I was able to set the pace and control the game. All in all, I did a great job, I’m glad that I won in two sets, but I forgot that I lost the lead 4:1 in the second set and decided a valuable scalp with two quick games from 4:4.

I used every piece of advice I got. After every second serve of his, I waited, I tried to get him into a solid position, he completed the twelfth tennis player’s ebka.

In the semifinals on Saturday night, he played against the German Alexander Zverev, with whom he lost the last seven duels. He only beat him at the premiership in 2014.

Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov plays a backhand in the quarterfinals of the tournament in Miami.

But that’s just a mistake, refusing to deal with unflattering statistics. Above all, I am very grateful that I advanced to the semi-finals, which is my best result in this tournament.

And if he were to go through and fight for the title, he would ensure a return to the elite board of the world team, where he last figured six years ago. With the win over Alcaraz, Leton extended his record to 19:4, so he would certainly deserve a place among the elite.
