Experienced defender Michal Gulaši returns to Brno after a season in České Budějovice, where he previously played seven seasons continuously and won two championships with Komet. The club informed about it on its website.

“I had no other idea in my head. Me, my wife and children wished we could go back home, which we did. I would like to thank Libor (Zábranský, editor’s note) for giving me the opportunity to return. I appreciate it very much,” reports the 37-year-old fighter.

In the past season, he played 0+5 matches for Motor 59. He also reached a major career milestone when he became the 24th player in extraleague history to reach the 1,000 game mark. He currently has a total of 1008 starts and 174 points for 40 goals and 134 assists.

“I would like to thank Libor for giving me the opportunity to come back. I really appreciate it.”

He also played in the highest competition for his mother Vítkovice, Sparta, Karlovy Vary, but mainly Kometa. Now he is returning to the place where, thanks to two championship titles from 2017 and 2018, he experienced probably the best moments of his playing career to date, after one season.

“The comet is my home. I would like to continue to prove that I have what it takes. And to help the team to brush up a bit on the success we did here before. So that the city and the fans are happy again and we bring the cup back to Brno,” he wishes
