The USA is building an all-star team! They have already introduced 15 NHL players who will fly to the WC Hokej.cz

The United States of America has officially presented the list of the first fifteen players who will strengthen them at the upcoming World Championship in the Czech Republic. It is already clear that many NHL stars will arrive in Ostrava!

Four more were added to the eleven names that had already been revealed, including Johnny Gaudreau, Cole Caufield, Brady Tkachuk, Seth Jones, Trevor Zegras, Zach Werenski and Luke Hughes.

Detroit’s Alex Lyon is the first goalkeeper for the American selection, and his club mate Dylan Larkin, Minnesota’s Matt Boldy and Joel Farabee from Philadelphia will help him offensively.

Larkin will show up for the sixth championship, Gaudreau for the fifth, Jones for the fourth, and Boldy, Hughes, Kunin, Lyon and Werenski all have one participation.

Although lanky forward Tage Thompson will not arrive in the Czech Republic due to injury after a 94-point season in Buffalo, the USA already looks extremely strong on paper!

All six nominees collected at least 50 Canadian points in this NHL season. Tkachuk, teammate of Dominik Kubalík from Ottawa, even had 74 (37+37) on his account.

When else but this year, the Americans probably say to themselves, who have been waiting for the world triumph since 1960, i.e. an incredibly long 64 years! They haven’t even played a final since then.

In recent years, they have been regular participants in battles for third place. They won bronze in 2013, 2015, 2018 and 2021. In the previous two tournaments, they finished fourth – in Tampere they first lost to the Czech Republic and last year to the Latvian miracle.

Before the tournament in the Czech Republic, the overseas team will set up camp in Bratislava, where on May 7 they will also play a warm-up at the World Cup against Slovakia. Then he will move to Ostrava, entering the tournament on Friday, May 10, with a tough battle against the Swedes.
