Sára Bejlek continues at the WTA 1000 event in Madrid in the tournament of her life. The 18-year-old Czech tennis player was able to clearly beat another favorite, in the third round she swept the American Ashlyn Krueger 6:3, 6:1 and she will face the biggest round of 16 in her career against one of the best tennis players of today, Jelena Rybakinová.

Bejlek advanced to the tournament in Madrid from the qualification and in the first round she won her first win on the WTA Tour at the sixth attempt.

She followed up her victory over Anna Blinkova with a triumph over another Russian, Anna Kalinska, and even Krueger didn’t stop her.

Bejlek, who is ranked 136th in the rankings, won a decisive break in the first set at 4:2 and already had a clear upper hand in the second set. In the round of 16 of the prestigious event, she will challenge last year’s Wimbledon winner and world number four Rybakinová from Kazakhstan.

Czech number one Markéta Vondroušová will appear in Madrid today in the third round. The seventh player in the WTA ranking awaits Russian Mirra Andrejevová, who knocked out Linda Nosková in the second round.
