- Motorola is preparing for the premiere of its new clamshell
- Thanks to the Indian certification, we can have an early look at what it looks like
- The Italian e-shop revealed the expected selling price
As in previous years, this year too we should see several new smartphones with flexible displays. This summer, Samsung will introduce the sixth generation of the Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip model series, but even before that we will probably see new clamshells from Motorola. Photos and prices of the top model Motorola 50 Ultra have reached the Internet, from which we can conclude that we will not have to wait long for the premiere.
Motorola Razr 50 Ultra in the first photos
The upcoming clamshell from Motorola is collecting various necessary certifications before its unveiling. One of them was also carried out by the Indian certification agency BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards), which also published photos of the upcoming phone in its documents.
At first glance, practically nothing will change between generations. From the outside, the phone will be represented by a pair of protruding main camera lenses surrounded by a large external display. We do not yet know its parameters, but we expect that it will once again rank among the largest in its class.
A flexible display will be enclosed inside the phone with a circular hole for the selfie camera at the top center. The last generation boasted an almost invisible fold, so we naturally count on the fact that this year’s generation will also be very good in this discipline. The fold is not noticeable in the photos, but it should be noted that the images are not of any quality. The Motorola Razr 50 Ultra is said to be sold in three colors – blue, orange and green.

How much will it cost?
European retailers are also preparing for the arrival of the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra, one of the Italian e-shops even revealed the selling price ahead of time. The phone is to be available in an 8/512 GB memory variant, at a price of 1,200 euros, which is about 30,000 crowns including VAT. Its predecessor was similarly priced when it entered the market, but it only had half the storage.
At the moment, we do not know if Motorola is also preparing a variant without the Ultra moniker, which could push the price down by several thousand.
