The ranking of the best photomobiles compiled by the French test Dxomark has a new leader after some time. It is a newly introduced smartphone Huawei Pura 70 Ultra, which will soon see its European launch. In the synthetic test of the rear camera it achieved a score of 163thus surpassing the representative of its former subsidiary brand – the Honor Magic6 Pro model – by 5 points.

The premium Huawei is the best in three of the five main measured disciplines – static photo, bokeh and zoom. In the video, it was not enough for the Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max, in the last but not so key preview category (the fidelity of the preview of the photographed scene in the camera application continues to reign supreme over last year’s Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Testers praised the balanced exposure and good contrast in all lighting conditions, excellent rendering and optimally vivid colors in HDR, fast and accurate autofocus, natural bokeh effect, good video stabilization and a very good compromise between texture and noise. The advantage of the photomobile is its variable aperture on the primary camera, which allows you to optimize the depth of field in practically every scene.

Several areas for improvement were also found. Testers encountered local noise in some parts of the video, ghosting in images of moving objects, even in bright light, as well as occasional unnatural textures in low-light and night shots. Images from the telephoto lens also occasionally showed unnatural rendering. As a whole, they praise the photomobile for its versatility, they awarded a gold plaque for the best camera, and currently the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra is at the top of the list of the best photomobiles.
