We recently celebrated our fortieth anniversary and I can swear that in all the years we’ve been married, I never once thought I might be unfaithful. I’m sure he didn’t cheat on me either.
A friend doubted my fidelity
Is it a reason to be proud? Maybe so, but I don’t see it that way. For me, it’s just something completely normal. After all, we promised each other at the altar. All the more I don’t understand why everyone is surprised that we don’t need any more excitement.
“Tell me the truth, what was it like there?” asked my friend Sabina (60) when I returned from the spa.
“These treatments work wonders! And on top of that the wonderful mountain air. I feel reborn“I praised the treatment.
“But I don’t ask that” she said and smiled mysteriously.

“Come on… We all know that you don’t go to the spa just for treatment, but to experience some kind of change,” she winked at me.

I always thought it was just meant to be. Love is the foundation of a successful marriage. I loved Lukáš when I married him. I love him to this day and that will not change until the end of my days. Can someone who cheats really love? No, definitely not. I have the words “love” and “loyalty” as synonyms in my dictionary.
My daughter sees infidelity as normal
However, I have the impression that today other values are respected. It is not only Sabina who is surprised that Lukáš and I remain faithful to each other. “How did you last so long with him?” and “Do you still have any pleasure after all these years with your husband?” or “And you really never had a lover?” These and similar questions were often asked by acquaintances.
I’m not even surprised. On their knees, people take stock and often come to the conclusion that they lacked excitement in their lives. They try to catch up and do terrible stupid things. However, when my daughter broached the subject, I was quite shocked.

We have a simple recipe for happiness
I didn’t want to teach a grown woman how to live, but I was sorry. I didn’t raise her like that. Together with Lukáš, we always taught her that love and respect are everything. And yet she talked about it without embarrassment, as if dragging another man into bed was something completely natural.
