Paramedics took a total of four patients into care, namely two men and two minors – a boy and a girl.

“After treatment, we transported the man who suffered an open femur fracture to the University Hospital in Motola by ambulance. We took the second man, who was wedged and suffered multiple injuries (fractures of the upper and lower limbs, and the doctor suspected an abdominal injury) to the Central Military Hospital,” said Monika Nováková, spokeswoman for the Central Bohemian Rescue Service.

In addition, the paramedics had a minor patient in their care, who was also taken to the Motol hospital for further investigation, and a minor patient in whom the doctor suspected internal injuries. They had to be airlifted to the hospital.

Why and how the traffic accident happened is now the subject of a police investigation. According to police spokeswoman Michaela Richterová, three drivers were breathalyzed for alcohol after the accident, and all tested negative. Blood had to be taken from the fourth driver because he was unable to take a breathalyzer due to his serious injuries.
