According to the Financial Times (FT), Ruen GPS in the Baltic Sea region has intensified in recent weeks. On Thursday and Friday, two Finnair planes from Helsinki to Tartu, Estonia, were diverted to Finland because of me.

According to the DPA agency, Finland Airlines has decided to operate the route from Helsinki to Tartu at least until May 31. Until then, I have to fly in the second largest Estonian city with a way to ensure safe take-offs and landings without a GPS signal. Finnair was the only airline that operated an international route to Tartu.

When someone turns off the front lights while driving at night, it is dangerous. The situation in the Baltics near the Russian border is no longer too dangerous to ignore, said Gabrielius Landsbergis, the Lithuanian diplomat.

We consider what is happening with GPS to be part of Russia’s unfriendly activities, and we will definitely talk about it with our allies. Such actions are a hybrid flow and pose a threat to our people and security. We will not tolerate them, said his Estonian counterpart Margus Tsahkna.

The Latvian Minister of Foreign Affairs Baiba Braeov came out similarly, saying that Riga takes similar incidents out and is in contact with other countries because of them.

According to experts, the hand GPS has affected tens of thousands of civilian years in recent months. It interfered with navigation signals used by vessels in the Baltic Sea, which led to warnings from the entire industry regarding the safety of shipping, according to the FT.

According to him, Baltic officials are convinced that Russia is behind the manipulation of navigation signals in the region. And that both from the mainland and from the Kaliningrad region, which is sandwiched between Poland and Lithuania.

Denk draws attention to the release of an unnamed source, according to whom one of the theories suggests the possibility that Russia is trying to protect Kaliningrad from potential flows of Ukrainian drones.

Ukraine has been struggling for two years with Russian military aggression. The Kremlin did not respond to requests for comment.
