Zelenskyj expressed his gratitude to the Czech Republic for its help

“I am grateful to the Czech Republic and Mr. President Pavlov personally for all the efforts they are making to help Europe overcome Russian aggression under the Ukrainian flag,” Zelenskyy said in a video message.

President Petr Pavel initiated large-scale aid to support Ukraine among the EU states, thanks to which it was possible to obtain a million pieces of ammunition.

“I thank all those who dedicated their political careers to making our journey to the European Union a success and for people to win, not tyranny and violence. Life, not pain. Not just one at the expense of the safety of others,” the president appealed to those present.

In the end, he also referred to former president Václav Havel.

He also thanked Germany, namely Chancellor Olaf Scholz and President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, for helping Ukraine. The Czech Republic’s western neighbor has promised Ukraine military aid worth 13 billion crowns, including armored vehicles and ammunition.

According to Zelensky, membership in the European Union is a dream that unites everyone. He believes that Ukraine will soon become a member, as well as Moldova or Georgia. “And that the day will come when Belarus will also be able to choose its way to Europe,” he added.

Europe can be strong and peaceful only if no one is left out of it and everyone is ready to defend the smallest nations and “not hand them over to the hands of evil”, he said.

“Europe is not a conspiracy of the most powerful behind their backs. Europe is not something that can be imposed by propaganda or maintained by force. This is something that Moscow refuses to understand, and this is precisely what characterizes the eastern border of Europe,” the Ukrainian president emphasized.
