A ban on communists, spies, desolates all the time. The ban on Slovaks has disappeared. The pro-Russian scene received notes from Moscow. We were in the Dno pytle pub

--

“Since yesterday, Dna pytle has become a wonder in Slovakia, not a place where Slovak flags are burned and hate is only stirred up for days,” reads one of the posts on Facebook of the pub in question, which infamously became known due to a scandalous photo of the Minister of Defense Jany Černochová with the Slovak ex-Minister of Defense Jaroslav Nad with a sign “Slovaks and desolation prohibited” from there. And so we went there…

He beeps for Ukraine

Hospoda Dno bagle, most likely named after the home of Frodo Bagel from The Lord of the Rings, is located on Vinohradská in Prague. However, don’t expect any shy hobbits there. It is perhaps the most political pub in the Czech capital.

On the face of the food and drink menu with the emblem of the Ukrainian flag, you will read: “Every day, one tap is reserved for beer, from which the entire profit goes to charitable purposes for Ukraine.” we offer a free glass of water and a quick escort out of the pub to voters of the KSČM, SPD, desolates, defenders of Russian aggression, flat-earthers, listeners of the Ortel group and similarly focused exotics. You don’t get drunk with communists and nacks, you just beat yourself up.”

We went there the evening before the national holiday and we were immediately met with incredulous looks from the local regulars. The pub was almost full. We barely found a few empty chairs. Symbols of Ukraine on the walls, for example the trident from its coat of arms. Here hangs a picture of the first Czech president Václav Havel, there the flags of Israel, Great Britain, the Czech Republic, Poland and the USA, here on the fridge probably a portrait of the Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet, behind the bar a small photo of the father of the Mašín brothers Josef. In the corner stands a table of the biggest regulars, separated by a railing in the color of the tricolor. A pub quiz is being played in the crowded back rooms.

Voice from the bottom of the bag

It was here that Černochová and Nadě had their picture taken in front of the sign “Slovaks and scumbags are prohibited from entering”. A large part of Slovaks and a part of Czechs rebel against it. Černochová is called “Nana”, the shame of the Czech Republic, an immature politician, Naď a creature who gave most of the weapons of the Slovak army to Ukraine. Some of the actors in the scandal have already been charged with defamation of the nation, race and belief and other sections of the criminal code.

“In Slovakia, a photo of Slovak ex-minister Nada with a sign ‘Slovaks and desolés prohibited from entering’ is circulating in Slovakia. Like, yes, taking a picture of Jara Nada with this sign originally seemed like a good idea, in retrospect it did more harm than good and I apologize to everyone involved. I should have hidden the sign. However, it was photographed at an event that raised the purchase of a car for Ukrainian medics, and which in itself was a decent demonstration of support for Ukraine in the fight against Russia,” it is also written on the Facebook page of the Dno pytle pub.

It can be seen that the public knowledge of the photo and the emotions it aroused are quite troubling to the owner of the Dno pytle pub. Beer simply won over reason. “It’s probably no coincidence that the whole storm originates precisely from the Slovak pro-Russian disinformation scene, which obviously has a greater reach among the people there than one might expect. Plus, of course, the Parliamentary Papers got hold of it, which is essentially the same thing,” it continues, and then in a rather long notice comes the explanation: “The reality is that the sign was the only one on the regulars’ table, it was made by the regulars themselves and it was reaction to the Slovak elections, where a strong pro-Russian influence won. And she certainly did not mean that a Slovak should not be allowed to enter the pub. Slovaks often sat by that sign and together we cursed Slovak politics. On the contrary, if Slovakia were stolen from us, we don’t care who won there and we wouldn’t deal with Slovakian politics. We care about Slovakia as our closest neighbor.”

Political analyst and head of the Zdravý rozum party Jan Baránek, whom ParlamentníListy.cz mainly quoted in connection with the scandal, is described in the announcement as a pro-Russian politician similar to the “Sparrowhawks” in our country. The bottom of the bag is said to be the opposite of Náck’s arbitrariness, “where apart from the strong support of Israel and Ukraine, no one makes any distinctions as to whether a person of a different color or sexual orientation walks in the door.” According to the author, who is said to be half-Slovak himself and would go to the end of the world for good dumplings, but who did not sign, “the pro-Russian scene spread across Europe after the signing of support by the American Congress from Moscow received a note, ‘now grab all the nonsense and make a mess'” .

Piss” on Putin

As we have already mentioned, the co-owner of the pub is Dušan Makovský from the ODS, who is compared with his controversial political style to the mayor of Řeporyjí Pavl Novotný. On the Flowee domain, an article about him says: “Dušan is (like his party colleague Pavel Novotný) the enfant terrible of the Prague ODS.” He is said to be able to talk even with rational members of other parties, but “the exception is the communists, I really have nothing to do with them to say”.

Above the bar in the Dno pytle pub, it says that something from every beer goes towards buying aid for Ukraine. Humanitarian, but also drones and weapons. The beer was strong, so I hope I read correctly that the value of the aid has already reached one and a half million crowns. The beer was really strong. The one with the raw coffee taste, about Origins: Honduras, was excellent. That other Tvrďak Zloun too. We drank large glasses. The first cost over 120, the second around 70 crowns. So, a bit “uptight” even by Prague standards. I haven’t seen the sign “Slovaks and scumbags forbidden to enter” there.

And then to the toilet. Quite clean. In each bowl, a portrait of Vladimir Putin and above the sink the motto of Major General, MEP and European Parliament candidate for the Alliance for the Independence of the Czech Republic Hynek Blašek “We defend our identity”.

In the end, it must be said that in the Dno pytle pub we normally talked about Ukraine, Fic, ParlamentníchListech.cz amid the roar of the staff, and they did not make us angry. As the innkeeper – the amazing Josef Hlinomaz – says at the beginning of the movie Haškov Švejk: “A guest like a guest, a Turk, for example. No policy applies to us self-employed people. Pay for a beer and talk about what you want.” But marketing goes through politics, otherwise the pub Dno pytle would not often be so crowded. After all, this report also proves it!
