In connection with the decline in sales of internal combustion engines, according to Volkswagen last year, the share fell to 14 percent from 18 percent in 2018.

The German carmaker is trying to diversify its product line to increase sales, especially in the basic and mid-range segment of electric cars. The concern’s current offer is priced higher than many of its competitors, which only offer electric cars, according to Reuters.

Volkswagen has announced that it plans to invest 2.5 billion euros (63 billion K) in the construction of its manufacturing and innovation center in the city of Hefei, Anhui province.

And all the new cars for the restart will bear the signature of Andreas Mindt, at least from the point of view of design, which he started commanding for Volkswagen signs a year ago. Mindt is a seasoned veteran of the VW concern, and in addition to Volkswagen, for twenty-eight years, his services have included the signature of Volkswagen, Audi, Bentley and Porsche.
