Czechs still use Nokia 3310 or Siemens C35i. But which mobile completely dominates?

Some phones are not forgotten. Whether it was legends that everyone had in their pockets or in a holster behind their belts, or the very first mobile phones we used. Among the most popular phones of all is the Nokia 3310, which was introduced in 2000. Although 24 years have passed since then, there are still 1,300 active Nokia 3310s in the Czech Vodafone network, which were manufactured between 2000 and 2003, according to us said Ondřej Luštěnec, press spokesman for Vodafone.

However, this is not an isolated phenomenon. In addition to the mentioned Finnish legend, the same old Siemens C35i continues to be used, albeit in a significantly more modest representation of 120 pieces. We will end the retro window with an even older mobile phone, the Ericsson A1018s, which we recently remembered as part of the 25-year legends. It was introduced in 1999 and there is still one active piece in the Vodafone network today.

But as you can probably guess, nowadays smart phones rule among users. However, even in 2014 it was push-button mobile phones, the share of which was 56%. In 2019, however, their share fell to only 20%, and currently it is 10%.

In the case of smartphones, the Vodafone network is dominated by iPhones. The most widespread model at all is the iPhone 11, of which 90,000 units are used by Vodafone. Right behind is the iPhone 13. As we have already said, the most represented brand is Apple, the silver position is taken by Samsung, and Xiaomi closes the podium.
