The media giants said they will offer plans with and without ads, but have yet to reveal how much they will charge customers. “The move comes as Disney and Warner Bros face competition from the likes of Netflix and Amazon Prime Video,” the BBC reported.

“This new offering will help grow the number of subscribers,” Warner Bros Discovery chief executive Jean-Briac Perrette said in a statement. Existing subscribers could also decide to extend their subscription much more often thanks to a wider selection of shows.

“The new partnership gives subscribers access to blockbuster movies, originals and three huge libraries,” added Disney Entertainment’s Joe Earley.

Both Walt Disney and Warner Bros. are also active in the Czech Republic, where they operate the streaming channels Disney+ and HBO Max.

Meanwhile, the streaming services of the American entertainment company Walt Disney found themselves in profit for the first time. In the second financial quarter at the operational level, it amounted to 47 million dollars, i.e. about 1.1 billion crowns, after a loss of 587 million dollars in the same period last year.
