In the administrative building in Belehradská Street, the fire alarm went off at night. Firefighters who were called discovered that an electric car had caught fire in the underground garage.

“It was an electric car fire in an underground garage. The intervention took place in breathing equipment and the Cobra fire extinguisher was also used,” said fire department spokesman Martin Kavka at the scene.

Police officers closed Bělehradská Street in both directions, into which a number of fire engines drove within a short time. Right in front of the building, the firefighters were changing breathing techniques.

According to information from the scene, the firemen’s work was complicated by the fact that the car could only get to and from the garage using the elevator system. Around half past two in the morning, firefighters reported from the scene that they had managed to put out the fire.
