m replace fluorinated compounds? Scientists from the Faculty of Chemical Technology of Pardubice University were looking for an answer. They wanted to make a garment that would help athletes and would be immediately available for sale.

Our fabric is hydrophobic and reduces surface energy. This is a property that increases the slipperiness of ly. We would be happy if the discovery contributed to the development of Czech talents in skiing, snowboarding or biathlon, said David Vesel from the Faculty of Chemistry and Technology of the University of Pardubice.

David Veselh’s team developed a layer that allows better sliding of the skin.

The first Czech biathlon team tested the novelty during the season. Markta Davidov and spol. they didn’t use the jet.

It is in the test phase, we need more information for the race, said the coach of the Czech biathlon team Ondej Ryb.

Fluorine compounds, which must not be used in lubricating waxes because they are not biodegradable and healthy for humans, were replaced by scientists with a new product, they worked on it for two years and patented it.

In addition to driving performance and good applicability to polyethylene on the slide, the fabric must also have other properties. For example, I don’t lose my temper very quickly or get stuck. Wax is a relatively complicated sms matter of components, outside play an important role of silicone. The main idea, however, is a verse about organometallic compounds, Vesel describes. The new patented compound contains powerful elements such as carbon, acid, carbon and water.

Chemists from the University of Pardubice will soon be able to try out the innovation. A company from the Czech Republic, in which a graduate of the Pardubice University works, is preparing to produce lyaskho wax. This should contain the first item discovered and produced at the university.

The synthesis of active components of wax is quite sophisticated. It is done in several steps and in an inert gas environment, Vesel described. Both partners signed a license agreement for the production of the newly developed compound.

In addition to David Veselho, Roman Jambor, Miroslav Novk, Michal Aman and Michal Srb participated in the team, which won the P-PINK prize for the development of the Pardubice business incubator this year.
