The basketball players of BK REDSTONE Olomouc showed only an average performance on the ground of Slavia Prague in the 10th round of the extension part of the Kooperativa NBL. It led to an 82:85 defeat, thanks to which Hanáci lost the opportunity to gain a bigger lead in Group A2 and get closer to advancing to the preliminary round of the playoffs.

The visitors produced two turnovers in half a minute, and because of that they were losing by seven points at the beginning of the 6th minute. Changing the line-up helped, after which the Hanáci quickly turned the result around. At 12:12, McBrayer equalized with a hard drive under the basket, and the same player immediately sent his team into the lead after a foul on a three-point shot. At the end of the ten-minute period, BK REDSTONE already led 18:14, when the players, except for Thompson, controlled the opponent’s main scorers.

With a successful start to the second period, Olomouc gained a six-point lead, but allowed in the defense and let Agravanis and Varner shoot, and it was this pair that took care of another turnaround. When Pumprla joined them at the end of the half, the guests were losing by five points after twenty minutes – 34:39.

The Praguers also had a good start to the third quarter, and they clawed their way to a 47:39 lead. At the same time, however, they fouled a lot. After three minutes, they had five personal fouls on their account, and thanks to the subsequent ones, Olomouc reduced its deficit to two points in the 26th minute. At the end of the ten-minute period, however, they collected four points in a row and entered the last period with an unfavorable score of 56:61.

After the next two minutes, the home team was leading by eight points and the Hanáci needed to take action. Two and a half minutes before the end, they reduced it to 78:80, but then Jelínek and Pumprla officiated, who added five points to Slavia’s side. At this point, less than eighty seconds were left before the end of the match, and that was not enough for a turnaround.
