“The Liberec region has been supporting the restoration of monuments for a long time, and among them are also buildings of folk architecture. Although our region is not as rich in folk architecture as, for example, South Bohemia, there are interesting buildings that are worth visiting. As soon as we have selected the objects to be included in this traditional event, we will inform the public,” said Květa Vinklátová, Deputy for Culture, Heritage Care and Tourism of the Liberec Region.

The aim of the Days of Folk Architecture is to raise awareness of the values of folk buildings, traditional crafts, customs and the lifestyle of ancestors. Therefore, the objects that participate in this event will be accessible for free on the weekend of July 20 and 21.

The Liberec region will provide a total of three hundred thousand crowns for the promotion of the event and accompanying program at individual buildings. A three-member committee will decide on participation and the amount of the contribution. Applications can be sent until April 15 to the e-mail address [email protected].
