The monthly poll for the best coach of the Olomouc region ended early Tuesday evening. After the qualifying round, 24 candidates advanced to it – 6 from each district (Olomouc, Prostějov, Přerov and Šumperk with Jeseník together). The overall first place was mainly divided between two, who collected a total of 58 percent of all votes. Who won?
In total, 52,043 readers voted in the poll. Most of them voted for Martin Kapoun from Palonín and Pavlo Rücker from Příkaz. The coach from Šumpersko was happy in the close fight. Martin Kapoun defended his first place in the district round of Šumperska and Jesenice (4468 votes). The absolute winner at that time was David Pírek, coach of the B team, with 4,963 votes.

However, Martin Kapoun received 15,687 votes in the final regional round, which was thirty percent of all. In second place was Pavel Rücker, who had a thousand fewer votes – 14,596 and a total of 28 percent. The bronze medal was won by the coach of the division HFK Olomouc, Petr Večeř, with 6116 votes and twelve percent.

The two most successful coaches and their clubs will then receive original journalistic awards. During the spring part of the football season, we will come to the clubs of the best coaches and, with the help of a professional photographer, we will create comprehensive material about the club (photo gallery, video interviews with the coach, captain, club chairman), which we will publish on the Deník website. At the same time, we will provide the photos to the club for free use.
