24th cycle of concerts Baroque evenings will perform a chamber-tuned concert called “Apollón & Dionýsos”, which will transport us to pcenter of Roman palaces in the late 17th and early 18th centuries. The most important nobles held public concerts called academies once a week in their residences, where they played the latest pieces by the masters working in Rome. The Teresian Hall of the Břevnov Monastery will be transformed into a music salon for this evening, so that the masterpieces of their protégés will be heard in it Georg Friedrich Handel and Arcangelo Corelli. The program will be complemented by works by their contemporaries Francesco Geminiani and Alessandro Scarlatti. In a precise and at the same time playful performance, he will present to the audience Collegium Marianum under the leadership Jana Semerádová solo and trio sonatas in various casts, including a virtuoso flute concerto at the end.
